The Ancient Greeks were affected in many ways by the things around and in the country called Greece. The geography of the land has had a great influence on Greece and the inhabitants. Throughout the history of Greece, there came more effects to the people who lived there. Some of these effects on the Ancient Greek civilization were positive and some were negative. Most of these effects were beneficial to the Greeks.
With many influential contributions how can one not admire them from philosophy, art, architecture, science, and math. The ancient Greeks were also able to accomplish this while fighting the Persian and Peloponnesian war. In philosophy there was Socrates Aristotle, and plato. Socrates created the socratic method which today is known as the scientific method which is still commonly used in science. Some of the greatest achievement in Greek were science and math from medicine, biology, physics, geometry, psychology, and astronomy.
Rome was regarded as one of the most powerful nations, and we have learnt throughout the past several weeks how it conquered and dominated other nations. During the Battle of Corinth in 146 BC, Rome subjugated Greece. Despite this accomplishment, Greek is acknowledged to have had an impact on Rome's civilization through literature, education, architecture, philosophy, and the arts. Influence on Roman religion and mythology Early Roman and Greek religions established a polytheistic system of worship centered on gods and goddesses. Basic traits of the Greek gods are shared by almost all of the Roman deities.
