Russia was left much different from before the invasion of the Mongols. One major example of Russia’s change was what Moscow became during the Mongol rule and after their rule had ended. Moscow had become a power house in Russia politically and economically. Moscow soon became the capitol of Russia and was a major trading location in Russia. Another example of something that stuck with Russia even after the Mongols rule ended was the yam system. The yam system helped Russia gain power economically during the Mongol rule and helped Russia grow politically after the fall of the Mongols.
