During the late 1920s, the economy showed some warning signs before the stock market crashed. There were too many industries overproduction. There were no government agencies monitoring the banks and the stock markets. Then on October 24, 1929, Black Thursday, the stock market fell drastically. On October 29, 1929, Black Tuesday, it plunged again. By the end of October, over $30 billion has lost. There were immediate effects: people lost their life savings and their homes and the banks were closed. Franklin D.
