The Iroquois are a group of native americans. The Iroquois are divided into 5 dans. The Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, Onondaga, and Cayuga tribes. Later a sixth nation, the Tuscarora tribe, joined the confederation. Agriculture provided most of the Iroquois diet.
The starting of America flourished with the Native Americans guidance. Even if people agree or not, the Natives had a huge impact on the development of America. ¨Of Plymouth Plantation” and “The Constitution of the Iroquois Nations” are great examples to conclude this. So, whether it was learning where to hunt or becoming inspired by another nation’s constitution, every little event becomes stored in the foundation of the America we know today.

One major effect was they were losing their land to Americans after gold was found at Pikes Peak, Colorado in 1858. Settlers and miners rushed to the lands and asked the government for protection from the Indians. The Native Americans that inhabited the Americas, particularly in the Puritan colony of Plymouth in Massachusetts and the area that encompasses the English colony of Virginia in the eastern coast of North America, had their lives drastically changed upon contact with Europeans and served different roles for both different colonies. Native Americans living near the Plymouth were crucial to the survival of the Puritans in the Plymouth colony while the Native Americans in the Virginia colonies were in constant warfare with the English colonists in Jamestown. Throughout the centuries during colonial America, a lot of Europeans went to the Americas with new expectations or just for seeking something new. Most of them had absolutely no clue what to expect from the new land. They also had to go through a lot of hardships and frustrations within themselves or with the Native Americans, and not all the European colonists were successful in the Americas. Europeans helped build not only new but better homes, farms, ranches, ports and ships in the New World. These establishments brought many new things such as the establishment of the first colonial and native towns, as well as the first government buildings in the new world. Native Americans were relocated into towns and villages. Although not everything was good they used building patterns that made buildings out of wood causing deforestation. Tools used to construct these homes were made of iron and steel, which allowed native to build stronger homes and allowed Europeans to build homes like which they had in Europe.

The Europeans exposed the Natives to many new diseases once they colonized the new areas they discovered. The Europeans greatly impacted the family life and religion of the inhabitants of the areas they found. There was also a lot of exchange going on during the conquest of the Americas because the Natives were excited by the new gadgets they had never seen before that the Europeans brought over.
