Economic Impact Before WWII, Japan did not have all the power that it gained from Post-WWII.
The Reconstruction of Japan occurred from 1945 - 1952. During this time period, the United States led the Allies in order to help with the reestablishment of Japan. At the same time, the forces that were helping with the reconstruction passed reforms that dealt with the economy. (Office of Website Management, Bureau of Public Affairs, 06 Nov. 2016).
Due to the defeat of Japan in the War, Japan’s economy plummeted. Therefore after WWII came to an end, there was an incentive in Japan to rebuild their economy. Japan had key features that enabled it to start implementing a recovery that would take them out of despair. For example as this next

Right after the war, there were economic problems arising to the point where people were limited economically. Some fashion designers grew up during this time and their connection is very strong that, it is seen through some designs that they have created. Bonnie English wrote the book “Japanese Fashion Designers”, where she also talks about how certain designers uniquely created pieces inspired by Post-WWII. For example, she mentions how two designers, Yamamoto and Kawakubo took poverty and transformed it into something totally beautiful. According to English, “A ‘deconstruction’ of style was the term later applied to these garments, a postmodernist term commonly used to describe the breaking down of elements, traditions and ideas in a fine art context” (English, pg.38). The term ‘deconstruction’ is very applicable when talking about the economy of Japan because, it implies that, Japan was not in a stable state after WWII and that people had to deal with certain economic issues like, wearing low condition clothing. In my own learning experience, I have learned that, people who face an economic challenge tend to not contribute as much to the economy when they are left in poverty and all they rely is on the things that they already own. Therefore, it could be that they have to keep reusing the same clothes that they have to a point where, they are torn and not viewed in a pleasant way by society.
