The effects of the war have hit every American heart and every Vietnamese heart and this has caused a domino effect with protest of the war. Nobody wants war unless they are a psychopath and have plans to destroy innocent peoples lives. People in America had to bear the news of so many innocent Americans killed and this caused numerous protests against war. Kids, adults, families had to endure those gruesome videos and pictures of what was actually going on in the war. Is it a bad thing that they saw all of these horrible videos and photos? Yes and no, because they had knowledge of what was going on in the war and it maybe could have given them more appreciation of what the soldiers in Vietnam had to go through, and no because now they have those videos and photos locked in their memory for their lifetime and it may not be something they would have liked to see. “Images of both civilian and military casualties were increasingly televised” (Rohn). This must have been the nightmare for American citizens, knowing what the soldiers were going through and can do very little to help them, it must have been so painful.
