Changing for the best “The act of becoming different” Tom Sawyer the main character from the novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, changed, just like I did but he changed in different ways than I did. Tom had different changes, I only had a few. It was like as if Tom was enchanted with a spell that made him a better human being. I changed because of school and social media. I’m grateful that I changed this year more than I did on my 6th grade year, I learned so many things. All the way throughout the book I saw a lot of changes Tom had made but, he mostly changed mentally. I changed a lot too. I changed mentally, physically and academically. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous kid in the beginning of the book, he likes to play and do pretty weird experiments. He doesn’t contemplate about the things he is going to do. Tom changed a lot from the beginning to ending of the book. Tom was a fast lighting bolt changing. He changed to a boy that actually contemplated first, and cared a little bit more about others. Tom also was a nicer boy. He changed his actions and learned to appreciate people more. I believe that I changed a lot through this 7th grade year. I changed my writing skills and I improved them. I learned to improve my grammar and my typing skills. I remember back in 6th grade I wasn’t as good as I am now. I am as wise as an owl now, I didn’t know a lot of the information I know now. I appreciate my teacher for helping me and teaching me. I think me having a phone again had a big effect on me. I made one new friend at school but, on social media I made a ton of friends. Social media and chatting apps changed me and the way I think. Since I have so many friends, I’d be on my phone from when I get home and go to sleep. My mom thinks that my phone doesn’t let me interact with other people or connect with them. I’m still socially inactive or awkward in real life, but on social media I feel like I can be myself. I’m not social because I’m not used to that environment and I get shy. I haven’t only changed mentally or socially but, I changed
