In the 1920s, women’s gained the right to vote through the Nineteenth Amendment. Their rights were advanced because other women fought for them. However, while women gained more rights, their lives did not change very much. The lives of women did not change much due to not having a say in government, having the same jobs, and judgement from others. One of the reasons women’s lives did not change in the 1920s was their lack of involvement in the government. The right to vote was given to women with the Nineteenth Amendment, but that did not alter their lives very much.
