Unfortunately, Disney movies have very negative impacts on audience, especially kids. Most of Disney movies promote sexism and sexulity. For example, in the movie Snow White, she is saved by a man. No one can help her, not even herself. Only a man can wake her up which shows how Disney is portraying a wrong idea of women. In addition, sexuality is major picture that Disney movies promote. Women sexual bodies with big breasts, tiny waists, long eyelashes, and sexy expressions are all images of all the women in Disney. To prove this, Hercules, Aladdin and pocahontas are Disney movies that sexualize the women bodies. They teach kids, especially girls that if you want something, use your body to get what you want. It may teach the kids, boys especially to overpower the woman by screaming and aggression. However, the woman reinterpret the man’s actions as anger and temper. The woman returns to the man regardless of the abusing and screaming. This teach the kids to always satisfy the man no matter what he does because if you keep doing that, he will change. A girl in the documentary says that if her friend has conflicts with her husband, she should always try to satisfy him and socialize with him to make him change. This shows how this girl is affected by the movie in wrong thought. It may give the kids the idea that women are weak and cowards because they dies not stand up for themselves. Also a negative image that Disney teach the girls is that women are always isolated cooking and cleaning which makes the girls feel useless and not important comparing to the man. On the other hand, Disney is also eliminating the presence of black people in the movies. One girl says that she can never think of a Disney movie that has black people in it.
