According to Google dictionary, education means an enlightening experience.

Education is a vital and necessary key to life in order to grow and understand. As said

by Adrienne Rich, education must not be handed to someone, but it must be claimed.

Claiming an education is a skill that takes motivation and interest, it is a skill that I

have claimed in certain areas of education as well as a skill that I continue searching for

new techniques that can help me claim my education.

Based on the reading of Adrienne Rich’s essay, I believe that claiming an education

I have claimed my education by challenging

myself, to do better even if I think I have done my best and to get more interested in what

people have given their time and effort to teach.

Although I have claimed my education in certain ways, there are still some parts of

the surface that I have yet to create a hole for. Taking the minimum amount of an

education in my point of view is like looking at the tip of the iceberg and thinking you

know everything but below the tip, there is a huge mass of ice filled with a lot more

information and I am still trying to accomplish understanding all that information. To get

a better view of the education I am attaining, I need to go deeper to understand the whole

philosophy. As well as going deeper, my objectives are to get involved and attend a

various amount of events, in order to open my perspective to many more views of what I

am learning, and to help me see the view of the whole iceberg instead of just the tip of it.
