I challenge you to listen to both sides of the story before you make your judgment. It was mid-day when Atticus Finch was faced with the decision while talking to the convicted Tom Robinson accused of rape sitting innocent of this heinous crime. Now there is a common agreement that Tom is in need of Atticus' trust the conflict comes with the question whether Atticus should trust Tom. Some including myself firmly believe that Atticus should trust Tom where as others say Atticus should not trust Tom. As I stated that I believe Atticus Finch should trust Tom Robinson for three reasons because of just reasons in defending Tom Robinson, because both Tom and Atticus have families t look after, because if he doesn't Atticus would be going against what he firmly believes. …show more content…

Such as, Tom has to provide for his family. Another being that it's the right thing to do. And lastly, being a father Atticus must set an example for his children. Atticus should trust Tom Robinson because both Tom and Atticus have families to look after. Atticus having Scout and Jem, while Tom having his two sons. Tom also has his wife and other family members to provide for. Finally both must set examples for their families, Tom must set an example by not backing down from the fight, where as Atticus must set an example by standing up for the innocent no matter whether they are white or black. Atticus should trust Tom because if he doesn't Atticus goes against what he firmly believes in. Atticus is a just man the whole community agrees with this. he must do this to show what his kids should do in a situation like this. lastly Atticus is a good lawyer so if tom is to have a chance in this case it's with Atticus
