Tangerine is a book, written by Edward Bloor, that have used growth, friendship, and secrets. In the book, there is a 12 years-old boy, called Paul Fisher, and he had lived in a life of secrets. Since, Paul moved a new home in Tangerine, Florida, and to a new school. He had made a lot of new friends. However, he have been getting flashbacks about his past life and have wondered, why is he wearing goggle/glasses. Also, Paul have a brother named Erik Fisher, and Erik have been the “Golden Child”, and the future famous football player for his family. Paul’s parents have been mostly caring about Erick and his “football’s” dreams. So, Bloor have use flashbacks and friendship to convey the theme of growth and altar of the book. For an example,
