These reasons show how fear can make you think only of
In “Something Wicked this way comes” by Ray Bradbury, Mr. Dark creates a threatening and mocking tone throughout the whole story. Right off the bat when Mr. Dark makes his first appearance in the story, he creates a threatening tone as shown trough “Mr. Dark clenched fist…” (Bradbury75). When first meeting Mr. Dark, Will and even Jim, a risk taker, were precautious on what they told him and how they presented themselves. Mr. Dark “The Illustrated Man” being a big man covered in tattoos talking to a couple of kids doesn’t create a good feeling. The boys can tell he is an important part of the carnival, so with Jim and Will already fearing the carnivals evilness, Mr. Dark is added to the list of things Jim and Will are fighting against.
Everyone has fear but people can use fear as a good thing. Fear can even save
Fear can be soul striking in many different ways, most notoriously within chapter four of The Other Wes Moore. The Other Wes Moore contains different viewings on two children's lives, they have the same name but not the same face. They lead into different lives from different beginnings, showing how they differ from one another. Chapter four in the book accurately describes fear from different viewpoints, the views aren't directly stated but with some details you can understand where fear plays into the story. This is how the book The Other Wes Moore relates fear to the human condition.
There are 3 Characters with fears in this play, which is Reverend Parris, Abigail Williams, and Betty Parris .The first character I will be talking about is Reverend Parris. People have been having accusations about witchcraft in the village. Parris fears of his reputation being ruined since he is a Puritan minister in Salem, Massachusetts. To support this, he says to Abigail “But it you trafficked with spirits in the forest I must know it now, for surely my enemies will, and they will ruin me with it.”

Fear is perhaps the strongest force within humans- something that is an undeniable influence on our decision making process, whether those decisions may be major or minor. Fear comes into play both consciously and subconsciously; both practically and non practically; it is not always 100% apparent but it is the drive behind so much more of our thought process than we actually realize. This is not only human nature but the nature of animals, too. It is a force we cannot escape, whether is comes in reflexes or is something we avidly dwell on, so we’ve instead explored and embraced the wonders of this thing called fear.
Humans are born to be afraid. A feeling of fear is only natural for humans to feel; it is a part of who we are. However, it can be more than just a feeling. Fear can be a weakness in humans even though it is only our natural instinct for survival. Sometimes, fear is so powerful that it can blur our rationality and dominate how we think and what we do.
Fear, something we all have. Behind fear is a basic human instinct; self-preservation, the will to live that makes us pause before hurling ourselves over the edge into the unknown. It is something that has the power to push us past our breaking point yet manages to keep us alive. Fear is a good motivator as evidenced by the characters in Arthur Miller’s Play, “The Crucible”. At times, fear motivates people to behave irrationally.
Fear is a feeling that most see as a negative force which pushes you back. However, I believe it is on the contrary. Although some may say fear is not harmful, fear is harmful due to the reason where many false accusations caused by fear lead to a massacre of deaths. some may argue that fear can be beneficial in certain circumstances. In "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, fear is a strong theme throughout the entire story.
Fear can be very advantageous when it comes to surviving. Fear inhibits you from doing risky actions that can put you and others in danger; it keeps you cautious and careful. Even though fear helps you when surviving, fear can harm you in life. Fear can cause paranoia that keeps you from enjoying life. You start to obsess over minimal things leading to hallucination.
Fear is not always a harmful emotion. Through fear, we have learned life-long lessons that not everything will work in our favor. We have grown around the definition that fear is “an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or be a threat” but never that the emotion is a natural and a helpful response. The Crucible, Farewell to Manzanar, and a George Takei interview all provide examples of how fear can be both harmful and beneficial.
Fear can be defined as an unpleasant feeling triggered by a situation. It is an emotion encountered by every human being. However, the reactions of people to fear may vary. Indeed, it ranges from the loss of rationality to the capacity of adaptation in extreme conditions. Thus, fear can be perceived as a weapon to control and manipulate society.
Fear is what you make of it because nothing is inherently scary it is what you take from the object or experience that makes it scary and fills your head with fear. This can have an effect on society and how people and their respective governments react to types of issues and problems. This leads to in extreme cases war and mass murder of a society that is being exploited as a scapegoat. In the book Lord of the Flies the author William Golding suggest the impact fear has on human nature and how it disrupts order and disorder in a society.
