Over the past decade the number of illegal immigrants have drastically increased. The United States Economy has grown better from the past decades. Illegal Immigrants has became a huge debate in the society we are today. Many people view them as taking labor from the citizen that currently live in the nation and should apply with work visa to be allowed into the country. Illegal immigrants have strengthen the economy, but take the labor work and funds from American citizens in the country. Illegal immigrants harm the U.S economy because they take labor from American citizens, reduce the value of goods, and decrease the property value. According to Source #4 – from thedailybeast.com. “Careful What You Wish For: Here’s What California Would Look Like Without Illegal Immigrants”, the text stated, "We Californians claim that the undocumented take jobs, lower wages, ruin neighborhoods, crowd schools, overrun hospitals, commit crimes, usurp public services, and pollute the environment." The increase amounts of immigrants living in a neighborhood just reduce the property value polluting the environment and have high chances committing crimes in the area they live in. This affects the economy because lowering property value means lower paying taxes on the property and less money for the government. Still others emphasize the role of race, arguing that foreigners provide a convenient repository for the nation’s fears and insecurities."
