It is also the second largest producer of lead, alumina, and manganese. Not only are minerals an economic factor, but Australia is also considered to be the number one supplier of mining technologies and services. Approximately, around 60% of the world’s mining designed software is made by Australia. • Australia’s mineral resources consist of about 6% of Australia’s economy, and have generated around $125 billion in Australia in the past 10 years.
