She puts on a flirty and sexy side of herself and likes to make eye contact with Tom.

George has blonde hair with light blue eyes. He is anemic and also spiritless. George is described as faintly handsome. When Tom arrives George starts to act hopeful for what Tom may have brought.

Myrtles lively personality slowly dies out from when we first meet her. She is now displaying a grudge that seems to grow more and more as the night goes on.

The valley of ashes is strange, smokey and dim, and seems to be crumbling at the foundation. The author of the book takes forever to describe such a setting.

She says Daisy's name to assert her power she has. Also sh simply says it to be of an annoyance. Tom punches Myrtle and this shows that the talk of Tom being a violent man is true.

CHAPTER THREE
1. Describe the two ways in which Nick differs from the other guests at Gatsby’s party.

Everyone else simply just shows up at the party and Nick is invited. Nick is dressed casually while others are dressed in formal and elegant clothing.

2. What does Nick think of Gatsby when he first meets him?

Gatsby 's smile leaves an impression on Nick. Nick finds it gentle and reassuring. Nick does find Gatsby's speech to be a level of absurdity.

3. Describe the events and atmosphere of the party.

Luxury is how the atmosphere would be described. Food everywhere, cocktails, wine, and everyone dancing. The women were very flirty as the night got longer.

4. What does the owl-eyed man in the library find extraordinary about Gatsby’s library?

The owl-eyed man has discovered that the book has not been cut. I think that books are out there to show the reader that Gatsby is a well read
