Rob leads their group, whilst Young follows and does what he tells him to do. Young obeys when people order him, as his dad tells him “You will drop that writing class and take Advanced Biology'' (Giles 49). The morning after this conversation, Young reverted his class back to Advanced Biology from Creative Writing, like his father said.. Rob is more of a leader unlike Young, and orders people things. When Rob is angry at Simon for the thing with the cow, He started saying how he knew how to make Simon popular, and while Rob, angry, had been ordering him around, Young whispered “Heil Hitler” (170). Rob tries to make Simon popular by using his ways, but Young’s goals are to become a good writer unlike what his dad wants him to do, and become a doctor and graduate at the top of his class. Rob is angry at Simon and kills him after making him popular, although Young’s take was the opposite as he stalked Simon. They are unchanged as they both are making Simon popular with Rob’s idea.
