What makes storytelling unique how it shaped the Appalachia region. How it shaped the Appalachia region is quite interesting yes, they were fake stories, but they gave mountaineers a since of pride. That pride is basically what kept the mountaineer culture going that is why these stories are important to the Appalachia region. That’s how the mountaineers have shaped the Appalachia region by influencing others. Now, that we have covered storytelling. Another attribute that the mountaineers used to shape and change the land were string instruments. This was important because it was adopted from other culture influences within the Appalachia region such as the Native Americans and the Europeans. These string instruments were played for many years throughout the Appalachia region. It eventually evolved the mountaineer culture and now these instruments can be seen throughout the whole Appalachia region such as competitions, churches, and other
