Courage insists on until the desired outcome is achieved. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird, there is a lot of courage shown. The graphic novel To Kill A Mockingbird is written by Fred Fordham. The novel was published on October 30, 2018. In the United States, it is widely read in high schools and middle schools. The novel is about how Scout, one of the main characters, faces many hard obstacles along the way with her brother Jem and their dad Atticus because Atticus was defending a black man named Tom Robinson. Scout has a quick temper when someone messes with her or annoys her, and then she starts a fight. When Atticus told her to stop fighting at school, she managed to stop. She thought to herself, “Somehow, if I fought Cecil, I would let Atticus down. I felt extremely noble, and remained noble for three weeks”(Fordham 94). Scout is really trying so hard to not let things that get her mad take over. Scout had to maintain her quick temper, even though it’s hard she managed to cool her temper. Another character from To Kill A Mockingbird that demonstrates the theme of courage is Atticus. Atticus is known for being brave in the town and really humbled about himself, and he’s getting tons of hate from people for defending a black guy named Tom Robinson. But that didn’t bother Atticus. Scout asks if Atticus is going to win the trial. Atticus replied “Atticus, are we going to win it? No. No. No. No.
