Roosevelt, the 32nd President. When she was a little kid she acted so seriously that her mother nicknamed her granny. She was an important woman in human history since she was a powerful political figure, and activist. She advocated for expanded roles for women in the workplace, the civil rights of African Americans and Asian Americans, and the rights of World War II refugees. The capability to do these things at the time shows why Eleanor Roosevelt was a powerful woman.
