The Romantic Hero People either distance ourselves from one another or others look up to each other. This leads others to be cautious of who to be close with or who to distance ourselves from. In the novel, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jay Gatsby shows that he is a romantic hero who was in a world of his own, rather than being a morally corrupt figure who people should stay away from. Gatsby shows he is a romantic hero, because he worked very hard to recreate a better version of himself, he was very determined to fulfill his goals, and he did is all for the people he loved.
To begin with, Jay Gatsby is considered a romantic hero, because he put in a lot of effort to remake a better version of himself. Gatsby’s “...life had
