Corrupt aspects of Man’s nature are shown in William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth as well as through the ambition of Hitler and his desire to overthrow Germany and eliminate all Jews. This is shown by both Macbeth and Hitler’s murderous ambitious attitudes to do whatever it takes to become one of the most powerful people of their time. In the beginning of the play Macbeth was a reasonably good man and a great solider. Macbeth was even described as being brave, and a gentleman by King Duncan. ”Like valor’s minion carved out his passage, Till he faced the slave; Which ne 'er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, Till he unseamed him from the nave to th ' chops,” (act1 scene2 19-20). This portrays Macbeth as being a good soldier and loyal to the throne. In which he was then named the Thane of Cawdor for his faithfulness and bravery. Hitler in a way is quite similar to this. Another ambitious similarity between Macbeth and Hitler are that they were both murdered for what they wanted. They both unjustly killed the innocent people without any worthy cause at all. Millions of innocent life’s were taken do to Hitler and few equally undeserving people were killed by Macbeth. Macbeth killed King Duncan, his two chamberlains, Banquo, Lady Macduff and her children. At first Macbeth was hesitant about killing King Duncan, but after that he was never the same and would kill anyone he felt he needed to, to get to the throne and keep it. Hitler murdered millions of the Jewish people because he believed Jews were of a lesser race and they deserved to die because they ran most of the banks. Hitler’s mass genocide of the Jews and others that he viewed as not perfect, was mostly biased on the fact that he thought he was cleaning the world and he never thought of it as corrupt.
