Throughout the movie we can see that Scarlett is a dynamic character. Unlike in the beginning, Scarlett has become caring towards others. After hearing about all of the people who had died while at war, she feels bad for their families. Not only then can we see her being caring, but also when Melanie is having her child. When Melanie goes into labor, Scarlett leaves to find the doctor to help her. When the doctor is unable to come, she does it herself. Other than caring, Scarlett is also trustworthy. When Ashley left, she promised him she would protect Melanie. We see this again at the end when she promises Melly she’ll look after Ashley and their son.
