We have been controlled by the government without us knowing that we were being watched. As American citizens, we know that we live in a free society where we are not being watched,heard, and tracked. As citizens our seclusion is being seized without us knowing. Novels that prove that our seclusion is being seized are “Nineteen Eighty Four” by George Orwell and in addition to these articles “That’s No phone, That’s My Tracker” by Peter Maass and Megha Rajagopalan along with “This Smartphone Tracking Tech Will Give You The Creeps” by Christina DesMarais. These novels will give you a grasp on the ugly truth about what technology is really doing for the government. Technology is becoming more and more superior to improve scrutiny in our private lives which we might not even find out. In the novel “Nineteen Eighty four” generated by George Orwell it explains the repugnant world we live in now because of the government taking control of our personal private life. Privacy was invaded in Nineteen Eighty four by using many types of technology, which were telescreens, microphones, drones and many more. Telescreens were used to watch your moves and expressions. This means that in this society we are still being watched like Oceania was watched by big brother. We are still being watched by the government and being tracked down as well.
