Shooting, fighting, and violence. This is what many people see video games, movies, and television as. They think that these are all full of extreme violence, and are causing kids and teens to commit acts of violence, but is that completely true? Is violent media affecting our public in a negative way? Ever since the early 90’s, people have blamed certain crimes on media. They think it is a case of “monkey-see, monkey-do”, and teens reenact what they see in the media. Movies have ratings. G, PG, PG-13, and R, just like video games have E, E10, T, and M. These ratings are put in place for a reason, to warn kids and their parents of what they might see in these movies, games, or television shows.
