In the fairytale, “How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune” by Joseph Jacobs, Jack, a young boy looking for a little adventure, can be described as a character, more specifically a protagonist and static character. As the lead man in the story, Jack is an excellent example of a protagonist for he is the one everything revolves around, it is because of Jack’s choices and goals that the story is what it is.
