A gamer is a person who plays video games or participates in role-playing games (Oxford Dictionary) or someone who likes playing computer games (Cambridge Dictionary). Playing video games either through computers, game consoles (e.g., Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation), or hand held devices (cellular phone, tablets) are among the most popular leisure activities not just for adolescents but also for adults (Kirsch et al. 2005). According to bigfishgames.com, over 59% of Americans play games and these gamers are varieties of ages, gender, status, and background. The average age of gamers are 31 years (statistics in 2015) but numbers of younger gamers are growing gradually. The findings from the study on psychcentral.com seem to suggest that video games are actual tools for “social bridging”, especially MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games). “MMOs are not like solitary dungeon cells, but a socialenvironment” (Steinkuehlerand Williams.D, 2015), this statement strengthen the video games’ role of social bridge since a lot of game have the gameplay system that support the multipliers’ co-operation among the players such as a guild system or a party creation. Sometimes, players cannot get over the missions or obstacles by themselves. They need other players to company with so that they can conquer the unbelievable strong monsters or solve the complex puzzles or they can just have a miscellaneous conversation together, making new friends just like the world outside the screen. Moreover, the duty of games as the bridge is not limited only in the polygon generated world, but also on the social media such as Facebook, YouTube or Reddit that are the main portal of gamers
