Imagine a world that you go to bed hungry, that you don 't know if your home will still be there tommorow, and you 're too scared to go to school because you feel that you would be bombed shot. Well that is the life that many people have to live day by day. But in the book under the persimmon tree the same thing was happening to many families. Many people lived in fear of the Taliban. But Najmah a girl that lived in a town had to show true strength. When her mom and baby brother die while her father and brother are at war. She has to overcome any obstacle that is thrown in her way. With her knowledge of nature and animals she found a wag to stay alive with no money. My article is about how the Taliban affects the everyday life of the people This relates to the book because it shows how bad and harsh the Taliban is. And how many people 's lives were ruined.. The book used the Taliban to show how many lives they affected and how much destruction they caused. in the book on page 176 it says" they no longer dream of returning home. Their children have been born here, a place without furniture, a dull limbo where time doesnt matter. these people have nothing to return to in Afghanistan." This shows that everyone is frightened by the Taliban by such harsh things that th ey have done. Another quote for the Taliban is on page 14 it states " men must have beards that you can grab in your fist and still have the hair sticking out at the bottom. " This is an example that the taliban hold many rules over people in villages but if you dont follow many of them then you can be publicly killed or
