The first concert that I attended was a pop concert, which is ‘Peabo Bryson Live in Genting 2015’ by Peabo Bryson with his band. The ‘king of the balladeers’, Peabo Bryson gave a one-night-only concert on 16 May 2015 at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands. He kicked off the concert with the classic song ‘If Ever You’re In My Arms Again’, and the fans immediately offered a warm applause. The concert lasted for 2 hours, from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. The second concert that I attended was an orchestral concert titled, ‘Chapter Seven: Fate’, which was the seventh concert held by the Selangor Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO). The concert took place at the MBPJ Civic Hall in Petaling Jaya, starting from 8pm to 10pm with a 20 minutes of intermission. I enjoyed it very much as I found another way for me to release stress. The classical concert that I attended was a bit different from what I expected. The size of concert hall and amount of musician in the orchestra was smaller than I expected because the videos showed in internet are always a large orchestra with the grand concert hall. I personally think that the acoustics was not really good due to the small size of concert hall. Classical concert was totally different from the other concerts that I had attended. Everyone has to follow the concert etiquette as a respect to the orchestra and also other audience. Besides, audiences are expected to express their enthusiasm by applauding at the end of a work. If a work has more than one movement, audiences do not customarily applaud between movements. If an orchestral piece involves a soloist, the soloist will come onstage with the conductor, and afterward go off stage and return with the conductor, or perhaps alone.
