The White House was renovated twice by different Presidents. On the President’s free time he could go to the movies, play basketball, go swimming, and or bowling. Tuesday through Thursday visiting hours are at 7:30 to 1:30. If someone wanted to get a tour of the White House then they would have to request to get a tour six months in advance, no less that twenty-one days before. During a visit to the white house mobile devices or any other electronics are not permitted to use. The White House also has virtual tours that way people can be comfy and see what the White House looks like from their home. The White House has special events that take place, like Easter, Spring and Fall Garden and House Tours, also the Salute to Lafayette Square Festival. The closest Metrorail stations to the White House are Federal Triangle, Metro Center, and McPherson Square . On-street parking is not available near the White House.
