World view is part of the philosophy of life or our concept of the world. A world view is the way people look at the world around them and how they interpret it. A world view is how we see the world, of how we view it. Some people may not notice it but we all have a world view. We all have our own thought about the world. We might believe the same thing as someone else or we might think something totally different then the person beside us.
James Sire tells us his definition of world view as, “a set of presuppositions (assumptions which may be true, partially true or entirely false) which we hold (consciously or subconsciously, consistently or inconsistently) about the basic make-up of the world.” World views brings up questions that you may or may not have thought about before. Forlines states that all world views make up five questions of relationship. The relationships are God, metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and anthropology. It impacts the relationships to the fact that these are the only ways we see the world in our view. No matter what type of relationship it is, it will impact our world and the people around us. Our relationship with God is a religious worldview. The religious worldview helps us to answer the question to how the world came into existence. It also helps explain Gods existence in the world today. Everyone has a view of God rather that means they are an atheist, or they are catholic, or Jewish they still have an opinion about God or a god(s).
Metaphysics deals with things outside of our material world. A questions for metaphysics is what is its purpose in the world? Epistemology is distinguishing your beliefs from an opinion.
