In her essay titled “Is ‘Screen Time’ Dangerous for Children?” Alison Gopnik addresses many parents’ concerns about how modern technology affects children. She combats their apprehension through her own personal anecdotes and a light, humorous tone. She starts off her argument with a touching short story involving her grandson, Augie, and her learning about how bees make honey. By telling the story in first person perspective, she not only connects with the reader, but she also establishes her credibility on the topic—since this event happened to her, she is in turn very knowledgeable about how it occured.

Television has two common connotations about its influence on people, good or bad for an individual and society, and there are multiple arguments about television’s impact on American society and people. Though many people think of it in a negative sense, television can actually help American society in the future. Over the years, television has developed into a more realistic, non-sheltering entertainment that many people enjoy, although, many programs may be difficult for some people to watch. In today 's society, many television programs teach real life lessons and quality information.
Television Essay Television has made an impact on the American society in an abundance of ways. Television has made a great impact on the way we vote. Television has a positive impact on voting by allowing America to see the candidate’s overall appearance. Many people say that television can be harmful to the President’s image, but according to (Hart), “(2) because of television’s sense of intimacy, the American people feel they know their Presidents as a persons and hence no longer feel the need for party guidance;” This means people can make their own opinions of the person overall instead of relying on what Politian’s say. People do not realized that they make opinions on others based on the way they appear on television.
Television has never claimed to be reality and for the sake of marketing as well as entertainment, pray that it never does. Although it is a fact that many Americans spend far too long acting as mindless couch potatoes, in front of their televisions, spending time watching television is not an entirely horrible activity. While it is true that America’s youth is easily sucked into spending hours in front of the television, rather than enjoying the outdoors, there are a multitude of reasons that television can serve as a better and more accessible alternative. Consider, for example, a day of torrential downpour wherein America’s youth is stuck inside the house with little to do other than to rampage around their households wreaking havoc on their hardworking parents. Without the aid of television to distract and preoccupy their children, the parents of these children might not get the precious time that they need to maintain the upkeep of their households and continue to provide for their families.
I agree that it is not just the children 's media problem. I can name even more examples of such stereotyping from the media meant to be consumed by the adult. However, kid 's media worries me because it is often being dismissed as non-important sphere of media because a lot of creators probably think that kids are stupid and will watch anything that is animated and involves talking animals. Therefore, it is not being criticized as much as other media. Nevertheless, I think that kids are not stupid and very well understand the moral of the story they are reading or watching.

Adults should be good role models and teach them to do the right thing instead of being bad impacts.
