Have you ever been in a relationship so strong you just can’t be detached easily? Suddenly boom you break up with that person just because of little argument and you just can’t let go? The Mexican-American war was a conflict between the United States and Mexico. This conflict started because the United States wanted to take the Mexican’s ex land. The United states thought God had given them the honor to spread to the west. The Mexican didn’t want the Americans to take over their old land because they thought it was still theirs. The war started in 1846-1848 when Polk was president. Many people wanted and didn’t want to go to war. The United States was not justified in going to war with Mexico because it was Mexico’s ex land , the Manifest Destiny wasn’t real, the Mexicans and the Americans never had a chance to talk about things. …show more content…

The Americans were protestant’s which meant they believed they only needed the bible but not church. Many Americans said that god came to them and told them to spread to the west which was Mexico’s land. Americans hd no proof god had told them to move to the west. This was probably a religious excuse to expand to the west. The Americans had been snatching all the land that wasn’t theirs for example the Indians land. This evidence shows us that the U.S was not justified on going to war with Mexico because no one really knew if the Manifest Destiny belief was real it could've just been a lie Americans told. Americans had no evidence that god had talked to
