In the first 10 chapters of Huckleberry Finn, we are introduced to this rambunctious teen.
Huck lives in the fictional town of St. Petersburg, Missouri. It’s a town that is largely based on the town Mark Twain, the author, grew up in. Huck is living with a lady known as Miss Watson since his mother is gone and his dad is presumed to have drowned a year ago. However, Huck’s dad appears one night and whisks him away to a small cabin deep in the woods. Huck is okay at first with the constant supervision his dad casts on him, but his dad’s drinking slowly begins to change his mind. He finally decides to escape while his dad is away in town by making it look like Huck was murdered and the cabin was robbed. Huck escapes to a small island near St. …show more content…

Well it could be assumed these chapters will focus more heavily on Jim and Huck. They could possibly be noticed by the townspeople since they are rather close to town. There also might come a question as to who “murdered” Huck. Miss Watson will most likely spread the false narrative that her runaway slave, Jim, was the one that “killed” Huck. Another scenario that could also play off is the false narrative that rather than Jim being framed for the death, it would be blamed on Huck’s father. It could be predicted as well that Tom Sawyer and his fellows will make more appearances in the coming chapters. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is this book’s counterpart. It's a likely scenario in the coming chapters that Huck will meet his father again as well. It first starts with Jim and his future. As stated in the previous paragraph, Jim was Miss Watson’s slave. If Miss Watson was to start spreading the false narrative that Jim killed Huck, what would happen to him? Would it be likely that Jim would be lynched due to these false allegations? Another question that could be aroused is regarding Huck’s “death.” Huck tried to make it look like he was murdered in the shack by smearing pig’s blood all over the cabin. He also stole anything of value to make it look like the cabin was robbed as well. Does this cover-up for Huck’s escape actually work? Will people uncover the truth of what really happened and discover the true whereabouts of
