The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn starts as Huckleberry first introducing himself as someone we may know if we read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Huckleberry was part of the low class white society. When Huckleberry hears that his dad is back he becomes struck with fear because his father comes to get his money. But the widow tries to gain full custody in order to keep Huck out of harm's way. Because Pa can't get ahold of the money he becomes enraged and tries convincing Huckleberry to quite going to school. But Huck refuses which resulted in him getting kidnapped by his father who keeps him in a cabin all hours of the day. Later he became sickened at the constant physical abuse he is receiving from his father. So he comes up with a plan …show more content…
As both men make their way down the river they land on an island so that they can hide from townspeople, while they were in the middle of the island a storm begins. They take cover from the rain in a cave and discover a body whose head has been shot but Jim warns Huck not to look at the gruesome face. Hucks later then wants to find out information so brings up the idea that he should dress as a girl and go into the town so he puts on a dress and takes off. When he goes down to the town he approaches a shack where a an older women opens the door, Huck introduces himself as Sarah Williams. Throughout the night the women caught onto his lies so she reassured him that she will not turn him into the authorities if he is a run away, she then released Huckleberry into the night. Huck and Jim build a raft and drifted on the river at night to avoid being seen by the people. They stumble upon a steamboat ship wreck, Huck the adventurous one convinces Jim to go aboard the wreck. While on the boat they over here these two men who were described as robbers talking about how they need to kill the third one because he would
