Joseph Brant was born in Northeastern Ontario of March 1742. His native name was Thayendanegea. Brant had one sibling named Mary Degonwadont (Molly Brant). His dad’s and mom’s name are Peter Tehonwaghkwangeraghka and Margaret. Brant got his education at Moor's Indian Charity school in Connecticut.

The Huron-Ouendat was a coalition of five Iroquoian-speaking nations located in what is now northern Simcoe County, ON (Huron/Ouendat Village, n.d.). In 1650, they were dispersed by the Iroquois people. After they disbanded, the Huron-Ouendat people were largely accepted into other nations, though some remained distinct. In Canada their descendants mostly live on the Wendake Reserve near Québec City. Huron was a nickname given to the Wendat by the French meaning boar’s head from the hairstyle of Huron men, or ruffian in old French.

The Eureka Stockade was a rough time for everyone. It was a time for rebellion and a time for showing who the miners’ and troopers were. The key figures on the miners’ side were Peter Lalor and John Basson Humffray but on the government side were Robert Reid, Governor Hotham also Henry Seekamp. Nova Scotia remained neutral throughout the entire duration of the American Revolution and there is an array of reasons why. It would not be just, to claim one reason more over the other, nor would it be appropriate to say that one [reason] stands solely alone for the neutrality in and of Nova Scotia’s stance. Many interwoven reasons influenced and ultimately justified Nova Scotia in and during the American Revolution. LOCATION OF CAMP Emerald bay is on the Northwest side of Santa Catalina. Emerald Bay is 24 miles away from Los Angels. Emerald Bay is a boy scout camp that has visitors every week. We are known for having the most abalone in southern cali and the amazing snorkeling. The climate here is mostly sunny, it gets from the 60s to the 80s.
