Hugh Marston Hefner was a magazine publisher , American businessman, and playboy. He was the founder of Playboy and editor-in-chief of the magazine, which he founded in 1953. Always in silk smoking jacket with pipe in his hand , he adopted a huge range of pursuits and socialized with the wealthy . Hugh was always in the company of a young , gorgeous women. Born April 9 , 1926 Hugh Hefner changed the landscape for the adult entertainment due to his successful adult magazine , his eccentric lifestyle , and his popular Playboy channel. 1953 was the year Hugh Hefner had changed the era of adult entertainment when he had published his magazine called ‘ Playboy’. The original name was to be “ Slag Party” but Hefner wanted to suggest sophistication was well as wild parties and wealthy living so he settled on “ Playboy” (“Hugh Hefner.”). In 1996 Hugh Hefner launched his first ever playboy channel. This channel was graphic nudity that only adults could watch . Although Hefner very well promoted sex and drugs , Hefner believed that it was very important to block such things from children . In 2005 , the E! Network asked Hefner if they could document his life for a few months( “Hugh Hefner.”). One point of the show Hefner was seen with three girlfriends. Hefner suffered from a stroke in 1985 blaming it on stress from his director Peter . In 1988 he turned his empire over to his daughter Christie. Finally September 27 , 2017 at his mansion Hugh Hefner died .
