Viewing the painting, brightens the light in the artwork. There is a sense of reality as the light seems to move through the clouds. The faces of the characters are shown by light and there is an effect of light moving by walking in front of the scene. Emotions are evoked when one looks at this scene. There is a state of protection and safety.
Hello Cimberleigh, Thank you for sharing your post! I appreciated reading your hypotheses about what you saw in the paintings. It was interesting to review other responses and see how different people view and draw various conclusions from the same images. For example, in the first image you saw isolation whereas I saw someone being methodical, not necessarily thinking about anything in particular, but contemplating. From my perspective, the person may have been thinking about positive and negative things, but without additional information I didn’t feel comfortable drawing conclusions.
“In the silence of their studios, busied for days at a time with works which leave the mind relatively free, painters become like women; their thoughts can revolve around the minor facts of life and penetrate their hidden meaning.” There’s a hidden meaning or objective behind every artist’s work. We all interpret paintings differently; some art can be forms of phi phenomenon (illusion of movement created by presenting visual stimuli in rapid succession), or others could be interpreting cues such as Monocular and Binocular. We can’t fully understand what the artist is trying to present unless there is an outline, but we can surely look at the texture, colour, line and shape of each painting to get a meaning for ourselves. A person that demonstrates a form of interpreting his art is Stu Oxley.
In The Bigger Picture by Lil Baby, the author uses Tone, Symbolism, and Imagery to demonstrate the unfair treatment they have to face. The tone is used in the bigger picture to demonstrate how unfair their situation truly is. he ties in emotion and personal experience, “Tell 'em wherever I'm at, then they comin' I see blue lights, I get scared and start runnin' That s#@$ be crazy, they 'posed to protect us.” The tone of this shows us that he is scared for his life.
Symbolism in All the Light We Cannot See Marie-Laure’s curious personality causes her to question the legend of the Sea of Flames ever since learning about the diamond while touring the museum. The legend states that anyone who possesses the Sea of Flames will live forever, but all of the people close to them will suffer. Werner’s inquisitive nature spurred his fascination with the radio and learning all about how it functions. The Sea of Flames and the radio in All the Light We Cannot See both function as a symbol of hope throughout the novel when all hope in the world seemed to be lost.
The appealing factor of this paintings comes from its message and juxtaposition of colours and stroke
Emoticons are used in place of words to show emotions in text messages. Similar to the smiley and crying faces used by many teenagers, symbols possess the ability to convey meaning of themes in novels. In the historical fiction novel, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, several symbols contribute to the overall themes of the novel. We normally do not see a radio as a symbol.
Throughout history imagery and art has helped the United States of America to unify under a diverse nation. People use imagery to show something that cannot be explained, or imagery can be used to represent or remember a person, place or event. An example that comes to my mind is the construction of the 911 memorial. This was built after our nation was attacked and almost 3000 Americans were killed. This was a huge attack against people and this caused very little morality and pain in the people.
The use of imagery to convey meaning can have a profound impact on those that are
Forth painting explains how important socialization is. If people are not willing to work with others, and they rather live alone, then their lives will be considered as incomplete life. Hence, people have to know how to socialize with others for reaching their achievement in their lifetime. Fifth painting is the six organs by an empty house. As there is no window in the house, it represents that people need to see the truth of reality and obtain the impression through seeing, hearing, smell, tasting and touching.
Authors use Imagery, Simile and Metaphor to put a clear picture in the reader's head. In the “Pedestrian” Simile, Imagery and metaphor are used to put a clear picture in the reader's head as well as developing the mood at the same time. In the "Pedestrian" Bradbury uses imagery, simile and metaphor to develop the futuristic setting and the mood so that the reader better understands where Mr.Mead is and what he see's.
A varied balance between the symbolic and realism has been struck world over by the painting. In the fifteenth century Western painting began to turn from its age- old concern with spiritual realities towards an effort to combine this spiritual expression with as complete an imitation as possible of the outside
The superb use of symbolism in this painting has added complexity to the painting that contains social criticism on politics, on politician, and on culture, resulting in different interpretations from different people. It is also because of this complexity and layering of meanings that makes this painting ever more interesting and much more than what meets the
Especially when it comes to analyzing and understanding the artwork. Based on Bathes’ linguistic message are sometimes included to images to act as a guideline for the viewers to understand the meaning that stands for the images. Which reflects on the use of the hashtag in social media on contemporary design. Whereas the flipside, the limitations of semiotics is that the function can be activated only when the individual has a high analyzing skill. In other words, it is a not a divers theory for all individuals to use it in the visual field.
1.2 Statement of Significance Art can do lots of things that can create powerful and great changes in ourselves. Artist is someone that is so hard to read if we fail to understand them to interpret the underlying meaning behind their painting because it is their getaway to express their emotions and desires to the community. To accomplish this, the artists are communicating with the society by delivering their messages through their artworks.
