The concept of human nature considers behaviors, attitudes, and dispositions that represent the human race as a whole, which can be very perplexing. As I watched the film “Lord of the Flies” I gained insight on the startling account of human nature represented through the interactions of the main characters known to be Ralph, Piggy, Simon, and Jack. In analyzing each character I found that the boys who possessed an instinctual nature of aggression were Jack and Ralph. The film made it seem that it is in our human nature to be aggressive and that we tend to panic in stressful situations. In the account of “ The Real Lord of the Flies” humankind is portrayed in a different light. We see that the boys on the island of Ata were devoted to the pact made to work together and never go against one another. Unlike in the film, responsibilities were once established and the boys turned on eachother and feuded over the shift in powers. The boys on the island of Ata compromised and although they would sometimes quarrel they apologized and continued to work together as a
