Good morning, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact my papas really gone. I was driving to work on Tuesday morning and my daughter Alexia said to me "mom I always said I wasn't going to handle this well" and as I started pondering that comment I said to her "I know, we all always said the same thing" I think we all sort of looked at papa like he was superman, like he would live forever. That's because to all of us girls he was superman. Grandpa was a good man.
My parents didn't have the opportunities that we have. Both my parents had to quit school at a young age, they had to find a job and help my grandparents pay for bills. My mom wanted to have an education she wanted her diploma but she wasn't able to achieve that goal. To her and my father is important for us to get an education for us to finish high school and go to college because they want all their kids to have a better life and be able to support our children in the future. From day one when I started kindergarten my parents push me to do my best and I don't plan to let them down.
I have no family in America. Everyone who is biologically related to me lives in Bangladesh. Even the people who I call my family, aren’t. We are not related by blood, but rather, we are tied by our collective loneliness in this country. I think they’re what family feels like— although I suppose I wouldn 't know.
My Michigan Hero Think about your life without someone helping you. I’m so glad my dad is always there to help me. He is my hero and the pillar that keeps my family strong. I remember when my dad helped me ride my bike for the first time. And stood beside me all the time.

Mine have simply taught me to appreciate the value in education. Since early childhood, they’ve strongly urged me to prioritize school above all else and to learn from their mistakes, not wanting me to struggle as they did. My father has made me realize the importance in pursuing a higher education—it’s the best way to truly be successful and be able to give my family the life they deserve. From my mother I’ve learned the significance of pursuing a career that I will truly enjoy, since it is presumably what I will spend the rest of my life doing. Thanks to my parents, not only have I been university-bound since I was a toddler, but I’ve also genuinely enjoyed learning.
It was the best decision they had ever made. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here and learning with the other students. I know it was tough for them in America since they can’t speak English and I have seen them break down, but they never give up. I am really grateful for my parents because they have given up so much just for my sisters and I. They are the role model for me and without them, I wouldn’t have come this far to be successful.
I know that if I am every in a tough situation or I don’t know how to handle a problem, I can always come to my parents for advice to help me figure out what to do. I also know that my brothers will always be there for me if I ever need someone to talk to. My family always has my back in the toughest of times and I am beyond grateful for that. This makes me feel as if I never have to handle a tough situation alone. I am also very grateful that I have good friends that I can confide in and talk to about anything.
They treated me like a human and not just a kid. Due to this I realised that they are human to and deserved a life of love even if that wasn’t with each other. Most importantly they have shown me that even though things don’t always work out the way they are planned to, that doesn’t mean you can’t create a great life for your
The winter season was upon us. Snow fell, christmas decorations were up, and our spirits were high. My brother, Milan, and I loved the holiday season. Spending time with our family, opening gifts, playing in the snow; it was all like a dream come true. Every year we made our own wish lists, decorating them in green and red stickers.
The values and teaching passed on to me from my parents will stay the guiding me for who I am today, and for the rest of my live. Mom and Dad were my
My family is very inspiring to me. I am very thankful that my parents brought me into this world. Growing up my parents always showed me how exactly things work in life. One of the hardest things that I had to accept was that I could not have everything I wanted. There were times when my parents spoiled me
