I am a Coptic Orthodox member, my faith and dogma is not merely theological concepts concerning God, man, church, eternal life, heavenly creatures, demon etc…, to be discussed among clergymen, scholars and laymen, but are, in essence, daily experiences each member of the church has to live. In other words, dogmas representing our faith in God through various aspects have one message, i.e. our communion with God the Father in Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word of God, by His Holy Spirit. Thus we conceive of our redemption, and our membership of the church, a deep understanding of the Holy Bible, an acceptance of the Kingdom of God within our souls, a communion with the heavenly creatures and the experience of eternal life. I am serving my church and society through the work of the Holy Spirit; Also, I have faithfully served the lonely individuals, the needy, battered women, those addicted to drugs and those living in the streets, for the past nine years. Servants of god and I feed on regular basis an average between 150 and 200 people, offering the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many individuals have joined church for services. The most person impact my life is a girl in my Sunday school, who severely Abused by her father, who tried many times to kill her and her mother. The girl was severely traumatized. One of the pastor in the Diocese of Los Angeles called me and said, Hey, Neveen. I want you to be a spiritual caregiver for this miserable girl! At that time, I have other patients to take care of, so I postponed seeing her. One day, I heard a sermon reminded me with the girl that I forgot totally about her. Oh mu God! I felt God is talking to me and said, “ you forgot mt daughter and she is in need for you.” Same week her mom came to the church and met me and she said, “PLEASE HELP my daughter.” I called the girl, and visited the mom and her daughter several times. After many sessions, I am trying to understand Loneliness and isolation, which are the greatest threats for her. Additionally, I am trying to give her a different vantage point to see God. I told her, “If you want to hear God’s voice clearly and you are uncertain, then remain in His presence until He changes that uncertainty. Often, much can happen during this waiting for the Lord.” This girl empowers me to dig more in Spiritual Care techniques in order to provide her with all the possible help, and she made me clear that Spiritual Care is my Vocational
