“I can’t think of one thing I’d rather have than somebody loving me”~Lily. I admire
Lily because she has never gave up on her dreams of becoming an author and kept her word to it. She is a very headstrong girl and is very wiseful with how she thinks things through. I admire the fact she runs away from her problems, which is her father, and leaves while she can. She lies her way around to keep herself safe and kind of hidden so nothing slips up. I envy how brave she is to go and save her friend no matter what the cost is. I love how she has her own way of helping out others in other ways than just money, she pays back in her own way.

She would write about her mom, or her feelings for
Zach, and her imagination. "As a matter of fact I do. I was planning on being a writer and an English teacher in my spare time."(pg. 175) She talks so much of being a writer.
Although, the story doesn’t progress to her in the future of being an English teacher. It’s was motivates her to be so strong and headstrong.
Lily is a very headstrong girl, she would spend her time finding different ways to solve difficult problems with an easy solution. A great example is that she finally stood up against T-Ray. She was fed up of how she was treated and talked back to him. I can relate to this because there are many times in life where I have to stand up for my opinion. She shows and reacts with a lot of emotion and rage. "I hate you!" I screamed.
That stopped his smiling instantly. He stiffened. "Why, you little bitch," he said. The color faded from his lips.” (pg. 61) Lily had talked back to T-Ray knowing she had consequences but she had to tell him her true thoughts and emotions. This was starting to lead her to run away. There’s people in the world who don’t have the strength to run away from
