People come from all different places and look different they all should be treated the same as others. In order for a person to make a change in the world like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had it takes a lot of persistence and being brave ton faces a lot of people. I agree with Obama because to this day, America has gained more freedom and equality in the world.
In the speech,“I Have a Dream” by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, he shows how America is making a change within freedom and equality. A quote from the text is when King states, “ With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day” (line 10). King is describing how people should always have faith in order to make a change. Therefore, this evidence indicates how America is progressing to freedom and equality by working together no matter what and never losing hope to achieve a dream for everyone to have freedom. A paraphrase from the text is when Langston Hughes writes, “Besides,They’ll see how beautiful I am” (paragraph 4). Hughes is explaining how people should judge people by their characteristics not by their color of their skin. Consequently, this poem shows how America is progressing to freedom and equality because now people focus based on your attitude in order to judge you.
