Secondly, the actions of ISIS and Al-Qaeda, and the laws and regulations placed after the ISIS and Al-Qaeda attacks, severely affects innocent Muslims in America due to ISIS’ and Al-Qaeda’s Islamic illegitimacy. In an article written by Igor Volsky and Jack Jenkins, titled “Why ISIS is not, In Fact, Islamic”, ISIS’ behavior is examined and proven to anti Islam. In Volsky’ and Jenkins’ article, they write that even Muslim extremist have strict rules they abide by to sustain their Muslim status, however ISIS commit heinous acts, that even break Islamic extremism rules, that are considered anti Islam, such as: slaughtering children, raping woman, and using sex slavery as a weapon (Volsky). As Ashcroft seems to see this law as an all time patriotic American symbol, Ashcroft does not understand the pain innocent suspects receive. Ashcroft also fails to acknowledge how this law violates many rights. Through praising this Act, many innocent people will have their lives’ violated. In the article “The Patriot Act and the Quiet Death of the US Bill of Rights”, written by Zack Kaldveer, goes on telling on how the government has confessed to abusing the act, in which led to violations of innocent people's’ personal lives. Kaldveer explains that the FBI, otherwise known as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has confessed to abusing the Patriot Act up to 800 times on national security letters (Kaldveer). This is saying that the FBI has previously abused the patriot act and has confessed. This confession raised many eyebrows on whether this law is used to protect us or fulfilled stereotypes and help Islamophobes arrest innocent Muslims without question. Considering this confession, Muslims are basically up for grabs for Islamophobes, for instance a respected employee in the FBI could abuse this law and the employee would be considered a hero for stopping terrorist attacks before they took …show more content…

Many laws and regulations have been made when a person, claiming to be Muslim, commits a terrorist attack. On the Combating Terrorism Center webpage, Rafi Ron wrote an article called “Improving Airline Security in the United States”, in which Rafi writes on the improvements of airport security. Ron writes how Advanced Imaging Technology has been placed in nearly all United States airports, these have been placed after the attempted terrorist attack by a Nigerian Muslim (Ron). Advanced Imaging Technology has been places in most airports to protect American citizens from terrorism. Although these precautions are worthy of an applaud, the placement of the Advanced Imaging Technology was a precaution done after an attempted terrorist attack by a muslim. However, the placement of these Advanced Imaging Technology has led to many stereotypes between Muslims and airports, and may blame Muslims for the long entrance process at the airport. Through all this blaming of Muslims being the cause of all the airport hassle, the precaution was after all made after a terrorist attack done by a Muslim.
