I got the opportunity to interview my client Ryan Nguyen over skype for about an hour on 02-16-2018. We had a wonderful discussion on the project and exchanged a lot of information regarding the project. The technology Ryan picked is video game. Video games have been emerging day by day into latest forms. Starting from computer video games to mobile video games to gaming devices like the Xbox, ps4, etc., to the latest virtual reality video games, this technology has been growing rapidly. Innovations happening in video games are very rapid and surprising. But the excess usage of these video games have resulted in video game addiction in the new generation.

My client thinks the society might be presuming video games to be addictive. He plays video games as his hobby and he is also doing this specialization for his major. So this makes him more concerned regarding this particular topic. He also wanted to learn in depth regarding the debatable perspectives regarding video game addiction. His knowledge regarding this topic has been limited to few readings prior to the research he has done to write the proposal. But his views are that video games by themselves aren’t addictive, its the people who play these games who get addicted to them and fall a prey to the addiction. Ryan says that video games as a hobby can be relaxing but taking the cases in which people have passed away due to non stop video game playing, he feels it can be addicting to few people.
