The world today is overflowing with technological gizmos which have greatly affected the lives of people. People have become overly dependent on technology. The technology seems to have control over our lives. Over the last decade, it has done nothing but become more advance from day to day. Gadgets such as computers, smart phones, and television have been invented over time to make our lives easier and more convenience. The technology has pros and cons. The effect of technology on people could be shown in several ways. However, the question that is to be addressed here is whether people’s dependence on technology has affected creativity and communication or not ? One of the advantages of the Internet is allowing the users to explore and communicate without having to give away their personal information. Unfortunately, this can lead to people behaving in completely different ways compared to a face-to-face conversation. This is because they find it easier to be rude and aggressive as communication through technology creates a barrier and cannot see the people’s face. Most of the time , the conversations that may be uncomfortable in person such as break-ups are done through calls or texts. Although being able to break-up with someone face to face is the best choice, but everything will become extremely impersonal. Young people also say things that they would never say to a person’s face in the social media. Audacity like this can leads to problems such as cyber bullying. This is because they never know the actual person exists behind the avatar which can encourage hostility and exclusionary behavior. In a nutshell, we should believe in technology and support it but only to an extent. We should not have become way too dependent on technology and let it dominates our lives. Technology has great effects on our lives. It depends on how we use the technology . If the technology is abused by humans that danger lurks in it then it will pose a threat to the humans. Therefore, technology should be a boon to us as via technology people can overcome geographical boundaries via e-mails or text messages. We should recognise the boon of technology and avoid abusing technology for selfish
