As a child prodigy, Clara Schumann’s became well known for her music but she had to go through the various problems of being a women composer. Libby Larsen is another musical composer who also had to deal with being a woman in the music industry.

Morrie fled the conventional values created by the society and the media, by simple choosing not to follow it. He instead created his own culture based on values that the society deems unimportant. His culture is founded on love and good communication, because he believes love and a healthy relationship with the people in your life are the most important things. Morrie valued frugality and he scorned the fact that the media was promoting lavishness, even when the prospect of death was looming Morrie still wanted to just have his friends, and family together and eat. Most people would have wanted to travel to Paris or do something expensive with very important people.

This is called a misconception, a view or an opinion that is incorrect about a person or a group. Heavily influenced by mass media, this collection of ideas permeates the everyday lives of the society. The most common pop culture categories are: entertainment, sports, news, politics, fashion/clothes, technology and slang. Popular culture is often viewed as being trivial and "dumbed down" in order to find consensual acceptance throughout the mainstream. As a result, it comes under heavy criticism from various non-mainstream sources which deem it superficial, consumerist, sensationalist, or corrupt.
