Kristina and Trey gathered all of their little belongings mostly caring about the lockbox containing about $3,600 of the finest mexican glass a.k.a meth. Rushing out of their little apartment as soon as possible after seeing a wanted picture in the newspaper of kristina stealing money illegally with a fake id. She thought it was odd that she had very very little remorse about getting up and leaving without saying goodbye to her baby that wouldn't even recognize her, her mom which she stole her identity and money from. It didn't phase her and she kept loading what little belongings she had into Trey's mustang. They rushed onto the snowy freeway still tweaked as usual, but exhausted from no sleep like usual and running from the police and the mexican drug lord that they owe and weren't planning on paying back.
The article does a significant job of providing evidence. The narrator gives experiences with students and compares and contrast students from the fifties to students now. The narrator talks about how writing is different and how students imaginations are not as good as they once were. The purpose for the article is to show how technology is slowly starting to rupture to imaginations of children.
Natalie Opoka Kruse HWLC February 9, 2015 Las Casas Paper Imagine a world where everything you read is written in the same manner; same purpose, same sentence structure, same language etc. Readers would become bored because writing would be predictable. This is why writing is unique. All writing has a purpose whether that be to entertain, inform or persuade. Writers use different forms of artistry to convey their message to audiences.
Amy Goldwasser claims reading and writing online to be aesthetically and intellectually equivalent to the more traditional methods, in her persuasive essay, “What’s the matter with kids today?”. She is absolutely correct. Reading and writing online volutarily shows the same quantity as previous nonelectronic modes, uses the same thought process and problem solving, and reveals a less of importance for knowledge of fun facts in order to concentrate on analyzation. When compared to generations prior, this next generation is more inclined to write about themselves without pressure from others. They share key moments of their lives and display them over social media.
Many writers seem to write just to write, but isn’t there a meaning in all writing. Rather to persuade, to teach, or to argue a topic. There is no such writing that is just writing. Most writing is to make the reader feel connected and to be a part of the story. Writers want the reader to feel connected to the story because if there no connection then there is no story.
In her essay "Does Texting Affect Writing?", Michaela Cullington presents her argument that texting does not impact formal writing written by students. She discusses the concerns presented by many people about how texting language can transfer into writing, but through the use of personal experiences and credible sources she discusses how this is not true. Her use of multiple different studies and situations help boost her argument and allow the reader to truly see how students actually do formal writing. She presents a strong argument as to why those who believe students don't have the control and knowledge to write formally, instead of with text speak, are wrong.
"Alec Ramsay and Black Minx are out in front, five lengths ahead, AND THEY ARE UNDER THE WIRE!" the radio in the barn blared. I had just finished jumping my palomino "Above the Clouds" but I call him Cloud for short. Blackwater Ranch was owned by the Leigh's but they were at a horse show, so I was watching the ranch for them. I took my hunt seat saddle off Cloud's back then removed the saddle pad and set it out to dry.
Not So Fast” Andrea Lunsford researched students’ writing for 30-plus years to see what effect new technology has on how students learn. Lunsford discovered that students are actually improving their own writing skills with the help of mass media. Not only does it allow students more access to educational resources and information, but it also encourages students to do more creative thinking and writing outside of class which Lunsford refers to in her article as “life writing.” In her research she recalls the account of a student who sent a friend a text message which was completely informal and would be considered unprofessional by most piers. However, the same student also sent a very formal and professional report to her faculty adviser later on.
As the 104th moves on from their real first test of battle, Stash is relieved he made it out of there alive. One thing for sure that this first battle taught him is always to be aware of what is around him. He told himself, just like in training, he can’t take his eye off anything from this point forward. He now knows this is real. There is no going back now.
He looks at me solemnly "Any girl of your age would have been broken by now. And not just on the inside." "Any boy your age would've been hiding under a bed by now. " I retort with a sickly grin. "I highly doubt that, but perhaps some are already in hiding."
What does writing mean to me? Writing means getting people engaged in your piece. It means people wanting to keep reading what you wrote. The biggest thing about writing to me is expressing your thoughts and letting your mind go. Using good word choice and having a strong voice in the writing is something that makes it good.
Internet is changing our lifestyle which includes work, producing and consuming. The creative potential release by digital technologies is also boosting questions about rules and ethics, as well as social benefits
Writing is not just about coming up with ideas and jotting them down on paper saying that it is your story because if it is then it is half done, and readers would not want to read what you have to say about how you feel on an experience that you have explored. Writing is about going through experiences and jotting those experiences down on paper and putting them in order so that the reader can understand what experiences you went through to get to the point that you have come to. Writing is a way to write you feel and to make it easy so that you do not have to speak what is on your mind. In my opinion writing can be my favorite thing to do because I like to write but when it comes to me speaking, I get nervous and do not know what to say when I get in front of a crowd. Writing can also be a way to get out of things such as if you want to break up with someone, tell your parents something that is bad that you do not want to tell them in person, talk to a doctor in a message just in case if your friends are
Written works tells us about our past, present, and future. Literature painted the image of the past of our ancestors, how they lived and what they’ve done.
