An intrinsic value can be defined as the true value of something, as opposed to its book value. In other words, intrinsic values are deeper values that can be held dearly. Values are extremely crucial when it comes to nature and the environment. Intrinsic values can be applied to nature because many people, such as naturalists cherish the natural environments, while others do not. Some don’t view nature and its resources as precious because they are too busy thinking about what nature has to offer.
Written by Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451 is a nonfiction literature explaining the beauty of written books. The story is set in a dystopian future explaining the life of a fireman named Montag whose job is to burn books: no questions asked. During the book, Montag destroys beautiful books without reading them or knowing anything about them. In Fahrenheit 451, “destruction of beauty” is a frequent theme found throughout the novel. “There must be something in books, things we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there” (Bradbury 48).
Where does real beauty come from and what does it consist of? Does it come from technology and consist of self-ignorance. No, true beauty comes from what is found in nature and contains freedom of thinking, knowledge and truth. While technology and nature both have the free will to do whatever they please, technology destroys the human bond with nature. In Ray Bradburys Fagrenheit 451, our protagonist deals with conflicts involving nature versus technology.
Should art be pretty is a great question to think about because it is not something often thought about. When thinking of art, one thinks of a famous artist they learn about in school or maybe an art piece they saw in the store and liked enough to buy and hang in their house. So, deciding if art should be pretty is not on many people’s mind when just thinking about art. I do think art should be pretty. When I think about art I think something that looks nice and pretty.

Abject art explores themes of transgress and the factors which threaten our sense of cleanliness particularly referencing the body and its bodily function. It is an art form in which artists explore or incorporate abject substances, in which Kristeva describes as, hair, excrement, blood, dead animals (corpse), menstrual blood and semen in order to confront taboo issues of gender and sexuality. Abject art has a strong feminist context, as female bodily functions in particular are still abjected by a patriarchal social order (TATE). Menstrual blood is a main marker of sexual difference. It reminds every subject of her origins both inside and outside of the female body, abjection is the fear of losing the border between self and other which

In his documentary film “why beauty matters” English philosopher Roger Scruton introduces the idea of beauty is disappearing from our world. The philosopher implies, that Art has become ugly, as well as our physical surroundings, manners, language, and music. Nowadays, the main aim of art is to disturb and break moral taboos. It has now lost its initial duty and is used to show solely the ugliness of our world, instead of taking what is most painful in the human condition and redeeming it in the work of beauty. What according to Scruton is the main purpose of art.

It is unique to the eye of the beholder, it can be interpreted in many ways, and it can be either very complex or easy to decipher. The artists takes all its feelings or perspective out through creation.
Though this may seem as a simple objective, two main limitations stand in the way of achieving it. The first is the limited understanding of the human attachment/inclination towards nature. In spite of the growing body of research (Appleton, 1975; Kellert, 2005a; Heerwagen, 2005; Biederman & Vessel, 2006), still it is not clear why certain natural forms and settings arouse positive feelings in human beings. The second limitation is the difficulty of translating this limited -but growing- knowledge in architectural terms; form, form making principles, form language, structural systems…etc. (Alexander, 2001-2005; Salingaros & Bruce, 1999; Kellert,
