In the early days of the United States of America, we had no freedom. The pilgrims came to America to be free from British law. In England, they had no right to choose how they were ruled. This lack of freedom and power was hard for everybody, especially women. Women used to be put down and objectified, but today people are constantly fighting for freedom and rights for women. Nowadays, we take our freedom for granted. Freedom is tremendously important to me.
